She shared the pictures on her Facebook wall, and captioned it: “RIP”, thus wishing upon herself death. After she was criticized and bashed from all angles, she stood her grounds, and revealed reasons why she shared the pictures. She wrote: “I do it for one purpose bt don’t see it as am stupid tinx okay.   Well, a family who wanted their ‘dead’ relative to stand at her funeral have defied all odds and normal norms and succeeded in doing so. We have in our possession, some photos which suggest that this family made the corpse of their dead relative stand during her final funeral. The photo is fast going viral on Twitter after it was shared by a user on the social media platform. According to the Twitter user who shared it, the corpse was fashionably dressed up by her family and made to stand at her funeral.

The tragic incident unfolded in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, where she was to marry Abiodun Oluwadamilare on August 19, 2023. Rebecca, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology (FUT) in Minna, experienced the unfortunate collapse during her bridal shower on August 18, 2023, around 10:30pm.
